We love our city.
We take pride in the people and the culture of Detroit and we delight in all of the beautiful ways the Lord is so powerfully moving here. More than that, we at YouthWorks-Detroit believe the Lord called us to share our city’s rich history and true beauty with those who might otherwise not have the chance to see it.
Detroit Illuminated (D-I) is an opportunity for young people from around the country to see firsthand beauty rising from ashes. Hearts are changed, narratives are rewritten and the Kingdom is given the chance to grow.
Come.
Groups come from college campuses or churches from around the country and stay with us for either a full week, or a weekend. YWD will work with each group to make arrangements for lodging and food.

Listen to the testimonies of lifelong Detroiters, witness the powerful movements of the Spirit throughout the city, and take part in important conversations intended to expand your mind and heart.
Serve.
YWD connects with established non-profits throughout the city to ensure that each group has the opportunity to work alongside local efforts to pursue equity and advancement for marginalized communities.
